Some Fridays I think about freedom in a slightly different way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Not the big dramatic kind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Without the simple one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A car.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A way forward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And two little dogs who think every trip is the world's greatest adventure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Traveling with a dog changes the way I move through the world. I stop more often. I see forest paths, small lakes and cafes where suddenly there is a water bowl in front of me before I even have time to ask.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The pace becomes slower.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In a very nice way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Pu and Noa remind me of that all the time. Their curiosity never ends. A new scent, a new place, a new patch of grass \u2014 and suddenly the day feels like a little adventure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But when we travel with a dog, there is one thing that is more important than anything else: safety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In Sweden, dogs must be transported safely in the car.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This means, for example, a dog belt, harness or transport cage. Not just for the dog's sake \u2014 but for everyone in the car.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A loose dog can become dangerous during sudden braking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It's a small habit that makes a big difference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And here's something many dog owners don't know:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tesla has a special Dog Mode.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When activated, the temperature in the car is kept stable and the screen displays a message so people outside can see that the dog is doing well while you are away for a short while.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A small but very smart feature for those of us who travel with dogs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For me, Free Friday is often about this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Not to stress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Not planning every minute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Without just being on the road together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The best trips often include some muddy paws, curious noses, and a few unexpected stops along the way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
