It is where life is."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Studio Saturday \u2013 Create Love <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There is something we often misunderstand as adults.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We believe that play is something we leave behind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Something childish. Something that will be left for \u201clater\u201d, when everything important is done.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But the truth is more subtle than that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When we stop playing, we don&#039;t just stop having fun \u2013<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are slowly starting to lose touch with ourselves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Not dramatic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Not overnight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But enough to make life feel\u2026 a little flatter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I was stuck on a quote by Stuart Brown:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201c&quot;The opposite of play is not work \u2014 it is depression.&quot;\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And the more I feel it, the more true it is.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Not as a theory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But as something we can actually experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Because it&#039;s not about us working too much.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Except that something else is missing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are meticulous about sleep.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We talk about diet, exercise, routines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But almost no one talks about play \u2013<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>as if it were a bonus, not a basic feature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And yet\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Something is changing in the game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The pulse is going down.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Times are changing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The thoughts release their grip.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And suddenly you&#039;re not performing anymore \u2013<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>you are in experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is where Amaelle becomes clear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Not as a system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But as a way of life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Because when you step into play, you also step into flow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And flow is not something you force.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It&#039;s something you allow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Think about it for a moment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When was the last time time disappeared?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Not when you were efficient.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Not when you \u201cman a lot\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But when you were so into something that you forgot the time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It could have been:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2013 when you were sewing and your hand just knew<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2013 when you were painting and the colors took over<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2013 when you cooked without a recipe<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2013 when you laughed so hard your stomach hurt<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2013 when you went out \u201cfor a while\u201d and came back two hours later<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That&#039;s no coincidence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It&#039;s your natural path into play.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Research describes different ways we play.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But you don&#039;t need to know the models.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You just need to recognize yourself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Maybe you are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The discoverer<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You who want to try new things, see new things, feel new things.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The body<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You who need movement to land in yourself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Creator<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You who disappear into color, fabric, shape.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Competitive Person<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You who light up and go in wholeheartedly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Collector<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You who see value in details and beauty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The humor<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You who shift energy through laughter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The narrator<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You who create meaning through words and memories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The one who holds the frames<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You are the one who gets others to meet, play, and participate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And here&#039;s the important thing:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You don&#039;t have to choose the right one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You just need to start where it feels easy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Not where you \u201cshould be\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Not where anyone else is.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But where something inside you softens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Because play doesn&#039;t work under pressure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It shuts down immediately when it encounters:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI should\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI don&#039;t have time\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cit&#039;s not important\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And yet that is often precisely where the key lies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For the most functional thing you can do for your brain<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>is sometimes to stop trying to be functional.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That&#039;s why Bright Saturday exists in Amaelle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Not like a break.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But as a feedback.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To the hands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To the body.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To creation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To that which does not need a purpose to have value.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So today \u2013 keep it simple.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Not great.
